1. Eligh &Amp Live - Therapy At 3 CD
Full-length collaboration with Eligh on the rhymes and Amp Live on the beats. The album title was inspired by the duo's unconstrained and unformatted recording process. Viewed as therapy sessions, the format allowed Eligh to write each song free form, spilling whatever was on his mind. Amp Live delivers powerful sonic backdrops infusing the boom-bap ethos of independent hip hop with tinges of electronic music, mixed with live instrumentation, all rounded out with an edgy aesthetic. Eligh says, "His production is so sick to me, and I'm a beat snob! I've always produced the majority of all my music, so to have someone as talented as Amp handle all the production, I got to focus on writing even more than usual."

6. Murs - Love &Rockets Vol. 1 CD
Brand new from one of the hardest-working rappers out there. These days people will come into Access and be stoked to see posters or cd's by Murs, and when you strike up conversation with them it's not uncommon for these new fans of his to not know about Living Legends. Even as Murs' popularity continues to grow beyond the underground and way past his Living Legends days, he still carries with him that burden of hunger and work ethic that all underground rappers have experienced when they've been in it for as long as he has. I believe this is something that continues to drive him. If he's not running circles around America as part of Paid Dues, the annual Hip Hop festival that Murs created and organized, he's doing backflips across a stage in Budapest, or shaking hands with fans in Japan before catching a bullet train to a packed in-store performance. When he's not on the road, he's in the studio, feverishly adding album after album to a cavernous discography like Varsity Blues 2 and Melrose with Terrace Martin. From the rhymes in his notepad to the hair on his head, Murs has made it a point to distance himself from being your ordinary, everyday "average rapper."Hell, he's not your average guy. Never has been. Listening to Murs is something like listening to a regular guy who just happens to know how to rap. His lyrics are straightforward, down-to-earth, and honest. Love &Rockets is produced by Ski aka Ski Beatz, responsible for most of the best beats on Camp Lo's Uptown Saturday Night and Jay-Z's Reasonable Doubt, amongst others. Featuring OC, Tabi Bonney and Locksmith.

7. Luckyiam (PSC) - I Love Haters CD
Now officially pressed on CD! Luckyiam announced this album shortly after Most Likely To Succeed, in between though he dropped an album with Sandpeople's Sapient on One Uppers last year, but finally back in August he dropped I Love Haters digitally for a limited time! Featuring some excellent laid back production by Kruse, Lucky continues to make each album better than the last! This is an insightful look into the everyday life of one of the illest emcee's in the Legends camp. Of course, everyone has their favorites, and it's hard to single any of them out because they each have very different styles, but Lucky's is so natural that his ability is something he was basically born to do. Legends, baby! Featuring Aceyalone, Slug, Pep Love and Kruse!

8. Grap Luva - Neva Done CD
Grap Luva AKA The Younger Soul Brother is much more than "Pete Rock's brother"... Grap is a veteran hip-hop producer &MC who has been selectively releasing songs for well over 15 years. Interestingly, this is his first ever solo release. From his work behind the boards for artists such as Method Man, Marley Marl and J-Live, to his days as a member of respected rap group INI (alongside Rob O); it's a known fact that Grap can hold his own when it comes to beats and rhymes. This 11 track EP is a true testament to Grap's career, proving that whether it's contemporary tracks collaborating with the likes of Kev Brown, Damu The Fudgemunk and Joc Max, or unarchived beats from his SP-1200 vaults, Grap's work is indeed never done.

9. K-Def - Night Shift CD
K-Def is back with a vengeance. Following up no less than three recently sold-out vinyl releases towards the later half of 2011 ("For Def's Sake"7', "Supa Heath"Flexi Disc &"Year Of The Hip-Hop"12'), along with back to back appearances in XXL Mag's reputable "Chairman's Choice"column, the New Jersey native is looking to maximize his impact with the release of Night Shift. If you dig on throwback beats, updated classic sounding shit and Damu the Fudgemunk do not sleep on this!

10. One Be Lo - LABOR CD
Long awaited and now finally here! As fans eternally wait for word on a Binary Star re-union we at least have brand new solo material from One.Be.Lo. Fans have been waiting for something new ever since Rebirth and it has been four long years! LABOR, like his other album titles, is an acronym...Language Arts Based On Reality. Having toured around the world, his travels throughout different mindsets and communities have made even more of an impact on him. Throughout his life, Lo has also assumed the roles of star athlete, convicted felon, Christian, Muslim, and Egyptian resident and all of these things are reflected in his music and this is the soundtrack.

11. Dday One - Mood Algorithms LP
Unreleased early works from Los Angeles based producer Dday One (Content Label / Project Mooncircle), completed 1998/99 and only twenty copies (cassette tape + CDR) were made and circulated. Over a six month period in 2011, Dday One restored "Mood Algorithms"using modern audio techniques such as digitizing and processing audio from the surviving tape, plus taking recordings from the original session stored on D.A.T and 3.5"floppy disk. Due to the original 4-track cassette recording, some of the audio artifacts remain. Limited vinyl (300 copies worldwide). As with previous Content Label releases, this project features artwork inspired by the project title. Original artwork is provided by British visual artist Oliver Cartwright (Def Jux, Audi).

12. The Roots - Undun CD
undun is an existential re-telling of the short life of one Redford Stephens (1974-1999). Through the use of emotives and Redford's internal dialogues the album seeks to illustrate the intersection of free will and prescribed destiny as it plays out "on the corner."Utilizing a reverse narrative arc, the album begins as the listener finds Redford disoriented -- postmortem -- and attempting to make sense of his former life. As he moves through its pivotal moments he begins to deconstruct all that has led to his (and our own) coming undun.

13. Riddlore? - The West Wing CD
What!? Brand new Riddlore album featuring Rifleman, Nuvethad, Ira Lee and more! This is the first Riddlore album in almost 10 years!

14. Damu the Fudgemunk - Overthrone / All Green 7"Single
This time we're greeted with a minimalist black jacket with a simple "O"and "G"on opposing sides of the record. The O stands for "Overthrone (Try a lil skillfulness)", a masterfully produced instrumental which features one of Damu's signature arrangements, combining pianos, horn blasts, a seemingly infinite number of patterns as well as some choice cuts and scratches. (Notably this piece features the same Otis sample as heard on a certain Throne LP that you may have heard of.) The B-Side features "All Green"which many may recognize as the instrumental version of Damu's Army Fatigue Rap Remix (Kaimbr &Kev Brown, 2011). Damu finally decided to liberate this monsterous beat which will surely satisfy his core audience and then some. Packaged in a black paper sleeve inside a mylar dust jacket with an outer sticker.

15. Torae - For the Record CD
Known for a roster of impressive collaborations, Torae has assembled an awe-inspiring crew of beatsmiths for accompaniment. From the renowned Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Diamond D and Large Professor; to those Torae labels "new legends,"9th Wonder, Khrysis, Fatin, Illmind, Eric G., Marco Polo and Nottz. For The Record is sure to transcend the expectations of new listeners and staunch supporters alike. A refreshing return to the multifarious nature of 2008's "Daily Conversation", the project is a notable change from 2009's Double Barrel with Marco Polo, and this year's mono-thematic Heart Failure EP. Fans will hear his skills sharpened; an array of cadences and intricately weaved rhyme patterns. He is also at his most vulnerable and transparent; providing a view through a wide-angle lens at the man behind the MC, as heard on "Panorama"and "Reflection."According to Torae, the choice to forego lyrical assists was deliberate. "No one can tell my story like me."

21. Statik Sel/Action Bronson - Well Done CD
Qualified chef-turned-rapper from Queens, New York, newcomer Action Bronson has built up a loyal following since he decided to leave the kitchen for a recording studio only 18 short months ago. However, the man Rolling Stone Magazine recently called the "Artist to Watch"didn't stray too far from the kitchen, as he is well known for rapping about his culinary delights. Action's experiences lend a unique favor to his rhymes, where you'll find witty mentions of duck prosciutto, Tunisian olives, smoked brisket and other delicacies along with vivid imagery of a modern-day Viking pillaging his way across New York. Action recently linked up with Producer Statik Selektah, and a couple tracks turned into a whole project and the result is Well Done!

22. People Under The Stairs - Highlighter CD
People Under The Stairs' 8th album captures the unparalleled group at the height of their 14 year career. More than just an indie hip hop album, Highlighter's outside collaborators comprise a group of influential LA indy-rock producers, engineers and live players featuring everything from full string sections to vintage vibraphones &keyboards. Recorded across a handpicked selection of Los Angeles studios, the duo dig deep into tape, consoles, obscure records and live players and emerge with a project that is both unique and yet familiar. Amidst the swirling musical landscapes, the P realize their most psychedelic album yet and continue to pioneer an alternate, innovative musical direction in hip hop.

23. Will Sessions - The Elmatic Instrumentals LP
Elmatic had been initially planned and announced in 2008 as a tribute to the historic 1994 album Illmatic by Nas, but it wasn't until early 2011 that Elzhi and his manager Jae Barber agreed that it would be best to recreate all of the beats from scratch -- and there was clearly nobody who could do it better than producer Sam Beaubien and Will Sessions. Since it's widely considered to be the holy grail of hip hop recordings, the prospect of duplicating the music from Illmatic was daunting. By using the original sample sources of the album's tracks as a foundation, producer Beaubien and the band members managed to recreate both the soundand the mood of the classic album with stunning precision on Elmatic, exceeding lofty expectations set by loyal fans and skeptical critics alike.

Each appearance showcases his well-rounded knack for lyricism, ranging from vivid street imagery to nostalgia to everything. On November 1st MED adds a new title to that list. On the long talked about and much delayed Classic, we're treated to collabs with Stones Throw label mate Aloe Blacc, Talib Kweli, Hodgy Beats (OFWGKTA), Oh No, Kurupt and Pok. The Fellowship returns with the same fire of their younger wonder years, and with them they bring a humbleness achieved through longevity and proud success in the underground some 20 years since To Whom It May Concern. The crew made a promise years ago to never fall off. They remained true to their word by reuniting on this 14-track album that will take listeners back to the first time they heard these guys, but with a modern day vibe. Myka9, PEACE, Self Jupiter and Aceyalone are joined on The Promise with the right production to elevate their always innovative deliveries by Omid, Kenny Segal, E.
